Scott
watched this training a couple weeks/days ago. Andrew got the
CD-ROM free when he subscribed to the ASP.NET magazine.
(Hah! I get the magazine for free as long as I attend the PADNUG
meetings every month.) I was also able to get a free training
CD-ROM from the same guys, I saw a promo at MSDN, didn't have to buy
anything, just had to ask for it. Unfortunately, I didn't realize
until it was too late that I got the same CD-ROM which Andrew
had. Oh well. I tried watching it earlier in the
week. I really did. It was a very basic intro to ASP.NET
2.0, starting out with a history of ASP and ASP.NET 1.x.
Ugh. I made it through 7(?) minutes of presentation and then
skipped to the end and took the tests. I didn't do too bad, but
that's because I've been watching webcasts and playing around with some
virtual labs over at MSDN. To be fair, the CD-ROM is #1 of 12, so
the level of material was appropriate. I think I prefer the labs
and webcasts because you can sign up for a 200, 300, or 400 level
lab/presentation.
