Work has been pretty busy lately, however it has slowed down enough for me to finally get a chance to blog and show off what I've been working on. Recently we applied a new look and feel to the Leatherman website. A couple new pages and sections were added, as well as rearranging the content and navigation to showcase the different products. The new look is more modern, bold, and identifies more with the Leatherman brand. Some sample screen shots are included below, and like most of my photos, these don't do the site any justice. You should visit the website for yourself and let me know what you think. Be careful though, these tools are very easy to fall in love with. I'm speaking from experience because now my pocket book is just a little bit lighter.
Update: You know, I just got to add one more thing. I've seen this time and time again, and the creativity and visual design that comes out of Pop Art is truly amazing. Even though I am a developer who prefers using Expression Design, my coworkers on Macs make an effort to include me in the design process (at least as much as I can keep up). They take my contributions seriously. I blogged about collaboration between designers and developers shortly after MIX and I'm coming to realize that the tools only help in that process. Whether or not collaboration happens has more to do with whether or not you can break down superficial barriers between your teams and less to do with what tools each department uses. I think this is a sign of a mature/maturing organization and I believe Pop Art is a perfect example of this.
