Utah Code Camp
I heard about the Utah Code Camp from Tim Heuer. It will be one day only on this Saturday, November 3rd. The sessions look really good, with some of the topics being XNA, Community Server 2007, Ruby on Rails. Sign-up to attend and perhaps even present a session. I won't be able to attend (too far for just one day), but for all you guys back in Idaho it's only a three and a half hour drive.
Seattle Code Camp v3.0
Originally the Seattle Code Camp was going to be this same weekend but was rescheduled to Nov 17th and 18th. This year's lists of sessions and speakers look very exciting. The big news (so far at least) is that Brad Wilson will be there talking about the new xUnit framework. I'll be presenting as well on Silverlight 1.0. This will be much like what I covered in the last PDXUX.Net meeting, only I'll be much further along in my demo (hopefully done). I sure hope they don't put me in the same time slot as Brad's presentation, I really want to see that one.
The location for the Seattle Code Camp will be at Digipen. Last year's Seattle code camp was held there as well. Dude, it was freaking amazing! Mitch Walker and his xna team were presenting their brand new (still in beta) XNA Framework and Game Studio Express. Maybe there will be some XNA folks attending this year and talking about XNA Game Studio Express v2.0 and the new network capabilities possible over Xbox Live (skip to 27:02 in the keynote). Gosh that would be awesome! How about it Mitch, you guys should come participate again. I'll even make sure to bring George up there with me.
I've been toying with the idea of taking the family with me for that weekend. My only worry is that they'll get bored if I can't find stuff for them to do.
