So I'm currently attending the Seattle Code Camp held at DigiPen in Redmond. I've sat in on a couple sessions where the topic was Silverlight 1.0/2.0 and the presenters are Microsoft employees. Just now, during the current session I'm attending, I read an article by Ryan Stewart who recently joined the team of Rich Internet Application Evangelists at Adobe. Ryan says he heard from a source that "Silverlight's current internal ETA is in August of this year."
Hopefully I didn't mislead anyone and made it clear that my source is actually an employee of Adobe.
Now who knows if that is actually true or not. I'm sure I'll find out more about this at MIX. Right now I'm just patiently waiting for an announcement about the Beta for Silverlight 2.0. It would be really nice to see that released before MIX, but I'm in no hurry and still have plenty to learn from Silverlight 1.0 which will carryover to 2.0.
